"Cleveland Blues" and the late blues musician Fred Davis, who was often known as "Dave". Fred could play like T-Bone Walker and sang in a high, keen voice like J.B. Lenoir. He was a dedicated and inspired guitarist who tragically passed away at the age of 49 in 1988, after being the victim of an armed robbery. Despite this tragedy, much of his music, including the tracks on "Cleveland Blues", has not been available for nearly 50 years. However, a new collection of his work has been released on our label with Fred's old friend Howard Husock.
